How can I link items in my asset register to a checklist in the Forms area?

Where appropriate, form responses can be linked to individual items in your asset register

Once you have added items to your asset register, you will be able to link them to any form they are related to where assets have been enabled. If you have a form in mind where you'd like to have asset linking turned on, please let us know and our support team will be able to enable this for you. Once enabled, the form will then contain an option for responses to specify relevant assets.

To add an asset to a form response, you will need to select the location that the response applies to. In some cases, you may also be asked to specify which zone or area the response applies to as well. With the location specified you will then see an option for you to be able to add affected assets.

Clicking the 'add affected assets' button will bring up a modal for you to be able to select from the assets found within your specified area. You can also use the search function to narrow down the selection. Simply click on the assets you wish to add to the form.

If you select an asset in error, it can be removed from the response by clicking the bin icon.

Continue to complete the form as normal to save the link between the selected assets and the form response.

Each asset which has been connected to a form response will also display a list of responses within the asset register to be viewed alongside planned maintenance, one-off jobs, help desk tickets, and incidents to help you build a full picture of the asset.
