What data is available from a commuting survey?

Commuting data is summarised into a clear visual report giving you a quick and easy snapshot of your survey results.

This is a premium feature available with a full subscription to iAM Compliant.

Commuting surveys provide valuable insights into the wider community's travel behaviours and your organisation's indirect (scope 3) emissions. iAM calculates the CO₂ emissions generated from the reported journeys using details such as recipients' postal codes and their chosen transportation methods. It also provides a summary of response rates and total emissions based on the collected data.

Once you’ve sent your first survey and the responses start coming in, your commuting survey dashboard will generate a summarised visual report. This report provides insights such as the most popular transport methods, survey response rate, total distance by transport type, and the largest CO₂e contributor. Once you've launched multiple surveys, you can even see emerging trends from past surveys too.

To view survey responses received in more detail, navigate to the Surveys section located under in this section header, select your survey, and click on the Responses tab.

To access detailed information from a particular survey response, simply click on the response. This will allow you to view additional data, including the respondent's postcode and their answers to each of the survey questions.
