How do I edit, archive or delete a medical condition?
Easily update medical information when something changes or archive conditions that are no longer current.
Medical information can change over time. Authorised users can simply update an existing condition or archive it when it is no longer current.
To edit a condition:
-
Go to Incidents > Conditions.
-
Locate and open the relevant condition.
-
Select Edit condition.
-
Make the required changes.
-
Save the updated record.
You can also access the condition from Incidents > Register > select individual > Conditions.
How do I archive a condition?
Open the relevant condition following the steps above, select 'Archive'. You’ll be asked to provide a reason for archiving the condition before confirming the change.
Archiving marks the condition as no longer current while retaining it as part of the individual’s medical history. The change, including the reason provided, will also be recorded in the audit history.
When should I archive a condition?
Archiving is useful when a condition is no longer active but the historical information should still be retained.
Deleting a condition
You can find the Delete condition option in the same Edit condition area.
Deleting a condition removes the record rather than keeping it as part of the individual’s medical history. This may be more appropriate where a condition was added in error or should not have been recorded against the individual. As with archiving, you’ll be asked to provide a reason before the condition is deleted.
