Am I able to break my Climate Action Plan items down into smaller tasks I can delegate to my colleagues?

You're able to raise both one off jobs and management actions from your Climate Action Plan items, which can then be given separate timescales and be assigned to different people.

If you've got some large scale improvements you'd like to implement as part of your Climate Action Plan, then you may wish to split them into smaller, more manageable individual tasks. This can be done by using management actions, or one off jobs. Both of these can then also be delegated to different members of your team, and given different timescales to the item you've added to your Climate Action Plan.

Management Actions

Add a management action from the accordion block underneath the item's scores. Click on 'Action Points' to expand the accordion and add an action point.

Add an action point by providing a name for it - this should be a task you're aiming to achieve - and then clicking the green 'add action' button to save it.

Click into the action point to add more detail, such as further description, an assigned owner and a due date. You can also keep a record of any discussions or progress against the action point by adding comments to the action.

You can add as many action points as you need to your plan items.

If you need to remove an action point for any reason, simply hover over the action and click the red cross.

One Off Jobs

Raise a one off job from underneath the comment box in the notes section at the bottom of the page. Simply click on the blue link to raise a new job.

The name of the new job will autofill with "Remedial work for [item name]" but can be customised to best reflect the nature of the work required.

Once the job is raised, it can then be assigned to a member of your premises team or sent to a contractor. A new block will also appear in the accordion section so that linked one off jobs can be viewed alongside other items linked to the plan item, such as management actions, assets, and documents.
